Nice to meet you!

My name is Bernd Rolauffs. I've been a photographer since 1996 when I discovered that studying medicine isn't all there is in life. Since then, I've been working as a freelancer with my camera. In my medical career, I've worked in several hospitals as an Orthopaedic surgeon and did a postdoctoral fellowship at M.I.T. as a cartilage scientist. Currently, my bases are the BG Traumacenter and the Regenerative Medicine Center in Tuebingen, Germany. As time allows, I enthusiastically shoot freelance (check out "Hire me").

I'm originally from the German Lower Rhine, but have had the chance to live in Northumberland in northern England, Chicago, Boston and now southern Germany. I love to travel: my idea of home is where my sleeping bag is rolled out. I believe life is an adventure, which you should follow ...
